Red Room studios specialise in 24 track reel to reel analogue and 24 track hard disk digital recording.

We use a mix of analogue and digital production techniques to offer a broadcast quality recording environment helping you get release quality recordings. We also have the facilities and space to enable you to record LIVE…adding as many overdubs as you want!

Red Room Studios have everything you need to record, mix and leave the studio with a master CD and/or DAT of your work…ready to release.

The atmosphere is friendly, relaxed and professional. There is no telephone at the studio, so you won’t find the engineer wasting your time and money on calls with other customers.

Almost every client that has used Red Room Studios in the four years we have been open have come back to record with us again and again as well as recommending our services to their friends!

Whether you want to spend a couple of hours recording 4 songs or 4 days on just one song, we believe it will sound better than anything any other Brighton studio can offer you.

We have produced many releases played on various BBC Radio One shows.

LIVE recording is something we do well and we have a very large acoustically treated LIVE room and Control room (600 sq ft) - so it never gets cramped.

If you have a home recording setup on your computer, then we can also supply you with .wav audio files so you can remix or add to your recordings at home.

The studio is situated in the centre of Brighton, just 5 minutes walk from Brighton station with easy access and parking available. Feel free to come by, hear some of our output and check out the atmosphere.

Prices

The cost of recording, mixing, pre or post production is £25 per hour.

That works out £200 per 8 hour day!!! NO HIDDEN EXTRAS, NO VAT!

The price includes Engineer/producer, tea & coffee and one master CD.

Because we only charge by the hour, you can book a full day for recording/mixing - but if you only use 5 hours then 5 hours is all you have to pay for! It's very flexible and allows you to work when you want.

Rehearsal

Red Room Studios also offer exclusive rehearsal/practice room facilities. 3 hour sessions are available for £32 inclusive of full backline and PA.

Equipment

The studio is equipped with all the top quality professional brands you would expect in a pro studio such as Neumann, Shure, Audio Technica, Beyer Dynamic, Sennheiser, AKG, Tascam, Mackie, Allen & Heath mixing console with valve pre amps, TL Audio valve compressor, Lexicon, Digitech, Behringer etc and we use industry standard Yamaha NS10 Studio Reference Speakers. We have all the usual toys like samplers, sequencers, drum machines, synthesizers and keyboards (analogue and digital). The live room has a full back line with a Valve 100 watt Fender Twin, Line 6, and Peavey guitar amps, Trace Elliot & Peavey bass guitar amps and a TAMA Rock Star Custom Drum Kit. It’s all available and included in the price of recording.
